Hotel Gambrinus

The Hotel Gambrinus is a top-end hotel located near the Heart of the city, just a few blocks away from the Vatican and the Colosseum.

In 1936, Hans “Oliver” Erich Merbach and Tomas Migual Gessner responded to a mysterious death on the sidewalk outside the hotel.

The two were joined by the Medical Examiner for the area Wilhelm Busch. No cause of death could be determined at the scene. Oliver noted that the body “*had no shadow.*” This could be a sign of potential vampirism.

At the scene, Oliver also spotted a mysterious man, wearing British fashions. The man left the scene via the fire escape to the building and Oliver followed.

Oliver could not catch the man, however, as he somehow managed to crush door handles to gain entry to locked doors, and also managed to get from the roof to the street without any difficulty. Oliver was unable to follow.

Before departing the scene of the death, Oliver acquired the dead man’s room key from the hotel manager, and also found a Cinema del Ombra Ticket in the dead man’s suit jacket pocket.
