Doctor Julius Rosemont was a renown psychiatrist working at Carmel Island Sanitarium and Health Spa from 1900-1913. He was the chief therapist for Grace Worthington from 1912-1913. Doctor Rosemont was an experimentalist and believed in the effectiveness of shock therapy, pharmacological behavioral control and strict structure to treat his patients.
He did not believe that Grace was able to see spirits or ghosts and as a result, he subjected her to increased frequency electroshock therapies and behavioral sedation during her stay at the facility.
Doctor Rosemont was one of the very few survivors to escape the tragic fire that destroyed the facility in 1913. Amongst those lost was his daughter, whom he was treating at the facility.
In late 1913, Doctor Rosemont was convinced by the Venatori Umbrata that Grace was responsible for the fire at the hospital, and therefore responsible for the death of his daughter. He willingly aided the Venatori in an attempt to force Grace to reveal the location of the Key of Solomon.
When the facility was attacked by the Order of the Blackened Denarius who were also seeking the Key, he was killed. Grace was rescued by Envoys from the San Francisco office.
After the fight with the blackened Denarius, the body of Doctor Rosewood was missing. It is therefore suspected that either his body was taken by an unknown party, or he was not killed in the conflict after all.
